• 1 bagel
  • 80g smoked salmon
  • 2 tbsp cottage cheese
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 handful rocket

There’s not a huge amount you can do with a salmon bagel. But I’ve switched out cream cheese for cottage cheese to increase the protein content. You can use whatever type of bagel you like, and as always, add in whatever you fancy.


Slice the bagel in half and toast lightly.

Optional step for whipped cottage cheese – put the cottage cheese in a nutribullet blender and blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth. This changes the texture a bit and makes it more like really light cream cheese which is nice texture in this bagel. But you can just use the cottage cheese as is.

Slice the tomato and place on the base of the bagel, season with salt, add the cottage cheese, salmon & rocket, and season with pepper. Place the top of the bagel on and you’re good to go.
