GREEK GYROS
PREP TIME : 15 MINS, COOK TIME : 20 MINS (SERVES 2)
I won’t pretend this is as good as the real thing but daaaamn is it a good imposter. You can add in whatever extras you like and change around your proteins for whatever you want.
Method
- Combine all the marinade ingredients together, add your protein of choice and leave for around 30 minutes/however long you have (you can do this overnight if you want to!).
- Prep the tzatziki by grating the cucumber & squeezing the excess liquid away. Stir together with everything else.
- Cook your protein in a pan until cooked through (time dependent on type & size of pieces!) about 5-10 mins on each side.
- Assemble your gyros, with the remaining ingredients, I like to pile everything in to one so big I can barely fit my mouth around it.
