Ingredients
- 30g oats
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 egg
- pinch of cinnamon
- 40g frozen berries
- vanilla yoghurt to serve
BREAKFAST CRUMBLE
PREP TIME : 5-10 mins. Serves 1
Baked oats has changed my life (if you haven’t tried it, you gotta) because it’s basically cake for breakfast which is frankly all I want on a Sunday morning. It got me thinking about my other favourite puds, and of course my number one is a crumble. Thus the birth of the breakfast crumble, inspired by the humble baked oats.
Method
Place the frozen berries in a oven proof dish whilst you make the crumble toppings, to them start to thaw.
Combine the oats, egg, chia seeds & cinnamon in a small bowl. It will be kinda chunky. Spread it on top of the berries and bake for 20 mins at 170C until golden and it has a crust.
I have mine with vanilla yoghurt cos it tastes like custard. 🙂
