Ingredients
- 30g oats
- 50ml milk
- 1 egg
- 1 apple
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- + toppings
APPLE PIE BAKED OATS
Prep time : 5 mins. Bake time: 15-20 mins. Serves 1
The different textures of apple in this make the apple pie vibes even stronger. It’s sweet and comforting and it’s like a hug for breakfast.
Method
Pre heat the oven to 170C fan.
Grate half the apple, and the slice the remaining. Cover the oats in boiling water (just enough to cover) and add the grated apple. Leave for 2 mins while the oats soak. Add the egg, milk & cinnamon and stir together.
Transfer in to an over proof dish, top with the apple slices and bake for 15-20 mins. Then top!
I added greek yoghurt, caramel syrup & pumpkin seeds. And more cinnamon, cos cinnamon is life.
